The Perfect Alfredo Sauce
Updated: Jul 19, 2020

Alfredo is one of my all time favorite dishes! I'm not even going to write you guys a huge paragraph, lets just get to the point lol ! Enjoy!
Ingredients for the alfredo sauce (serving 1-2 people)
(1 Pint of heavy cream)
Seasonings include (Italian seasoning, fresh or powdered garlic, basil, salt and pepper)
White cooking wine (preferably a vermouth)
Equal parts flour and butter to make the roux
Flour- 3 to 4 teaspoons flour
Half a stick of butter
For cheese (fresh parmesan, asiago, and romano cheese)
Directions
Start with about 2 table spoons of olive oil and fresh garlic. Do not burn the garlic, so keep your fire to a medium heat. Then add your half stick of butter. Mix the butter into the olive oil then add about 1/4 cup of flour to make your roux. Once your roux is a paste like consistency add your pint of heavy cream. Turn your heat down and let it simmer on medium. Use a nonstick pan. Once your sauce starts to thicken from the roux you do not want it to burn. Then add your white wine and stir. Next add your seasonings and stir. Then add your cheeses. After you've added all your cheese, let it simmer on low for about 10 minutes and your alfredo sauce should be done. Don't leave the fire up too high or your cheese will burn at the bottom of the pan. plate it and serve once you've seasoned it to your liking. ( You can also add as much cheese as you'd like. Just keep in mind the more cheese the thicker the sauce.) If your sauce gets too thick add a little more heavy cream to loosen it up.
